Mother’s Day 2012
I hope everyone had a great mother’s day yesterday. Mine was amazing..though it was the first year that my mom and I didn’t spend the day together. Instead she flew to be with my granny on mother’s day which I thought was extra special. I did however get to see her in the am before I went to brunch and I also spent a few hours on Sat with her, which was really nice. Take a lookie at a few pics from the day. Besitos!!

This Fri Night…
Well really all week pretty much my dad has been visiting me. And the week actually ended up being pretty nice. He basically went with me as I did my usual motherly duties, which somehow included a trip to urgent care and a retirement home smh, plus all of my own little errands that I took on. And best of all my kids got to spend real quality time with him…somehow he had endless energy when it came to play/interacting with them . These pics are just a few from last night before/at Opus. PS It was Mother’s Day weekend so I got my hair done, this qualifies as a holiday weekend lol :)

Valeisha’s having a baby :)!!!
My homegirl V is having a baby! And yesterday was her baby shower in NYC. I am really a lil sick that I didn’t make it but such is life. I can’t wait to see the pics from the photographer but thanks to Rocsi and Mashonda, and particularly instagram I got a sneak peak at my girlie. Tooooo cute is all I can say!

Here’s A Couple…
Here’s a couple of pictures from the last two weekends that show I have basically been doing …nothing, lol. I have been chillin..hard..I haven’t even had my hair done..whomp whomp whomp. And with the summer approaching fast, unless it’s a holiday or I’m going out of town, or to a special event I probably will be rocking the “wet look” often. I’ll be honest, unless I pull it up, it’s not my fave look on me at all. But it is the healthiest. And I’m hoping that my hair will grow quicker in this style. My hair has been shoulder length for about 3 years….Mostly because before I was weaving it so much that I had to keep it around this length so it didn’t look horrible. And then there’s the dyeing it blonde…which I adore, and which totally kills my hair. Though let me be clear and say that I don’t intend to stop doing that, lol. Shoulder length hair is already boring enough but shoulder length and all one color…hell to the naw. Of course I’m only speaking of how I feel about my own hair. I see lots of girls with shoulder length brown hair that I think looks great on them. Soooo curly it is until something or another inspires a “real” do..Take a lookie:

My LOML bought me in this in Paris ’cause he was tired of me putting my purse on the floor! I’ve never used one until this day and I couldn’t believe it actually worked!

Giuseppe Zanotti Suede Shoes #Dopeness
Speaking of obsessions. My other current obsession is Giuseppe Zanotti’s suede pumps. They are absolutely amazinggggg and come in all types of cute colors and styles. Anddddd.. if you haven’t noticed…colors are totally driving every post I put up lately. I actually saw some really good knock offs of these that were a lot more reasonable, but if you’re a label whore, well then only these will do…:). Take a lookie:

Chanel Wallet On A Chain
I am absolutely addicted currently to Chanel’s wallets on a chain. They are sooo cute! And fairly inexpensive (relatively speaking) for Chanel. Plus they come in sooo many different colors..so you can add that extra pop of color to whatever outfit you have on. Take a lookie at a few color options below!

Next “The True Culture” Behind the Scenes
This past week I worked on another fashion video for NEXT “The True Culture” video shoot with videographer Scott Nelson. It was awesome once again going through the process of finding models, styling the outfits, and watching Scott work his magic. Below are just a few behind the scenes pics from the video…most of which were taken from the models IG pages lol. Out & About
The past couple weekends have been real cool;) The weekend before last I went to Sunni Dallas’ BDAY party at Bodega, and this past weekend I kicked it with my girlfriend Michelle (& Co.). Both times I had an amazing time, and it pretty much shows in the pics… Take a Lookie below…..;))
